TRANSGARD SYSTEMS
Protection for Sensitive High Voltage Equipment |
- TransGard fencing uses agricultural-type pulsating DC voltage (low current).
- Wire grid panels alternate positive and negative charges.
- Animals attempting to breach the fence come in contact with both fields and receive a mild non-lethal shock, deterring them from climbing any further.
- Installation requires no power outages or posthole digging.
Engineered from the Ground Up.
- TransGard fencing systems are placed inside existing chain-link perimeters and around sensitieve areas, assuring an animal-free enclosure.
- TransGard is engineered to function in severe weather conditions including deep snow and ice.
- PVC and steel construction requires no scheduled maintenance.
- Unit fits in with other substation equipment both functionally and aesthetically.
Gateway - The Pulse of the System
- The hinged gateway is part of the control center for the entire system and is the main access to the inside.
- Elevated gate design and pull-up step-over plate allow for deep snow entry and heavy material pass through.
- The contol box includes the main on/off switch and a meter to read the condition of the fence.
- Safe access is possible with power on or off.
TransGard modular worker-safe and user-friendly system can be installed by your own crew with efficiency and accuracy. Installations can be performed in any weather condition except snow cover. Your system is up and functioning on the same day!

In some parts of the country, snakes actually cause more substation outages than any other animal. In response to a growing need for a reliable and economical deterrent, TransGard Systems has combined its proven squirrel/raccoon electric fence with a snake barrier for a triple threat defense.
